How to add a page with a file

If you need to put a file on your website for people to download such as a PDF file, a Word document, etc., here is how to create a page with a file download.

1. Login to your site at http://login.webpiston.com.
   
   
2. Click on "Add A Page Assistant"
   
   
   
   
3. You are going to want to start a new page, so enter in the name of the page in the page name box and click the "Create Page" button. In this example, the new page is called newpage.html.
   
   
   
   
4. On the next page, you will be adding the keywords, page title and link name. The most important item here is the link name. That is what is going to show up on your site as a link for people to click to access the page.
   
   
   
   
5. The next page will show you where the new page will go on the left side of your site. Click the "Next" button at the top right of the page. You might have to scroll over to the right to see this button.
   
   
6. Now click on "Add A File" at the bottom of the page.
   
   
   
   
7. Click the "Browse" button to locate your document from your computer. Choose and icon and create a caption and description for your file. Then click the "Next" button at the bottom of the page.
   
   
8. You will then see a preview of the page. Click the "Continue" button.
   
   
9. Click next and you will get another preview page. Then click continue again and then click the "Publish Changes" button to make changes go to the live site.
